L.S.Lowry and West Side Story

Ann - Portrait

On Saturday Mariann and I went with Dianne to Salford. We went to the Lowry Gallery in the afternoon and then to see West Side Story in the evening. Both were fab - I didn't know Lowry had produced such a varied body of work - I particularly liked the simple pencil drawings.
West Side Story was by Sadler's Wells - it was the 50th Anniversary Tour and used the original choreography from 1958. I liked Tony, Anita and Maria in that order - M thought Tony was a bit wooden. Favourite song was 'America'.
